VAY1 Parashah Vayikra 31.00

The first parashah of Vayikra also bares the name of the book. It begins in 1:1 and continues through 5:26. Our 6 tape

confusing to many people. The tape set is aided by illustrations that effectively simplify how the korbanot (sacrifices)

were offered. In addition, the purpose and role of each korban is discussed. The korbanot that are covered in this

parashah tape set are: the korban olah (burnt offering), Korban Minchah (grain offering), Korban Shelamim (festival or

peace offering), Korban HaTaat (sin offering), and Korban Asham (trespass or guilt offering).

VAY2 Parashah Tzav 21.00

Parashah Tzav, 6:1 - 8:36 is a continuation of the previous parashah in studying the details of all the various korbanot. In

addition this parashah begins to deal with the consecration ceremonies of the Cohen Gadol (High Priest) as well as the

Parashah Shemini, 9:1 - 11:47, which refers to the 8th day of the consecration of Aaron and the priesthood, discusses the

various Korbanot that are offered for the priests as well as for the people. It is at this time that Aaron's sons, Nadab and

Abihu, offer "strange fire" before the L-rd and are slain. These chapters are essential to anyone involved in Temple
